The Townhomes of Inverrary

Posted in Real Estate on October 12th, 2007

Housing in any suburb is often difficult to find, and sometimes buyers over look older construction townhomes in favor of finding brand new condos. But with those new construction homes occasionally few and far between in older, established communities, it can pay to check out existing homes on the market that you might not first consider.

The townhomes in the Inverrary subdivision in Deerfield were generally built in the late ’70s, but a great many of them have undergone some extensive updates and renovations both inside and out. Energy saving features such as newer windows, doors, in some instances roofs and even heating and cooling units have been installed. New paint on the interior walls means the rooms look bright and inviting. Some townhomes on the market in Invarrary right now even have had new flooring put down. The kitchens are ready for some serious cooking with upgraded appliances. And to catch up with technology, most of the townhomes have been wired for surround sound, cable and Internet hook up.

These townhomes are usually listed as having a full, finished basement. This is great as a family rec room, exercise room, library or anything you’d like to make it. Wet bars, washer and dryer and attached garage are usually standard.

If you can’t Find New Chicago Condominiums that fit your needs, don’t forget the older construction homes that are available in most of the smaller communities outside of Chicago.
