Stained Glass Coffeehouse in Deerfield
Last Saturday, the Stained Glass Coffeehouse opened up, with folk songs by Magpie and 25 people of all ages in attendance. The coffeehouse is located at the Congregational Church in Deerfield, 225 Wilmot Road. This seems like a pretty neat idea for a church to establish, allowing people to come and congregate at the church, but also having fun in a different kind of setting. There is soft lighting, small tables, coffee and lattes, musicians, etc. Everything you could desire from a coffeehouse, except the abundance of people surrounding you typing away on laptops. The church has a concert lineup scheduled all the way through May 2007, with musicians such as Mike Jerling, Casey and Andrew Calhoun, Chuck Brodsky and Kat Eggleston. You can go to the Stained Glass Coffeehouse nearly on some Saturdays from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and is open to anyone with a desire to attend.
